About the Award
The NYSCA/NYFA Artists with Disabilities Grant program distributed one-time cash grants of $1,000 to artists with a disability who experienced financial hardship due to the COVID-19 crisis to cover art related expenses. The grant was open to visual, media, music, performing, literary, and multidisciplinary artists living in New York State outside of the five borough of NYC. $262,000 of awards were distributed over three application cycles, and the third and final cycle expanded to include artists living in New York City.
This program was made possible through New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Governor’s Office and the New York State Legislature.
