How NYFA Supports Arts Leaders

Since 2013, NYFA Learning has supported the careers of arts administrators from over 300 arts and culture organizations in the New York City area and around the state by providing professional development that is tailored to the challenges of this vital profession.

NYFA believes that investing in cultural infrastructure improves the sustainability and success of arts organizations, and ultimately builds stronger connections between artists and administrators, which benefits the entire field. The programs particularly support administrators of color, and organizations which are BIPOC-led, community-based, or rural. Programs are application-based and offered free to participants who are selected by panels of expert colleagues in the field.

From Our Alumni

The NYFA Executive Leaders of Color program is transformative. The sessions are tailored to meet our needs as working professionals in the arts. Our mentors go above and beyond by providing counsel and the instructors are full of warmth and smarts. I will be collaborating with my cohort for years to come. This program truly made a positive difference in my life.

What a powerful experience of centering my own growth as an arts leader! Each session expanded my foundation of leadership frameworks and built my confidence as a developing leader, and I built real bonds with peers in the incubator that have already resulted in programmatic partnering and organizational cross-pollination.
